Happy New Year

Hope everyone had a great time over the winter break. 2026 gets underway with an exciting schedule of squash and racketball events.


Charity Racketball Doubles

Join us for fun on court with the rearranged fancy dress charity doubles racketball event on Saturday 20th December from 1pm .

Fantastic prizes, food and drink, and a great way to get over those January blues – all while raising money for a good cause. Grab your racket, your best costume, and get involved!

Its £15 to take part including food in the bar afterwards. Pairs will be selected on the day, so just sign-up if you want to take part! Open to club members and any racketball players across Cornwall.

There is a sign up sheet in the bar. Entry deadline is: Monday 19th January .

The event will be raising vital funds for the West Cornwall Search & Rescue Team. A Cornish charity whose unpaid volunteers are available 24/7, 365 days a year to support the emergency services to search for lost, missing and injured people. Our Lead Squash Coach, Matt, is also a volunteer Call-out Member and Search Dog Handler.

2026 Cornwall County Closed Championships @ Truro Squash & Leisure Club

The county's annual headline squash championships takes place at Truro Squash club. The competition will run from Friday 29th January to Sunday 1st February and entrants will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches.

All abilities are encouraged to enter with those not making it past the first round being entered into a plate competition.

Team Squash – New Season Underway

The 2025/26 spring squash season has kicked off, and once again we have 5 Falmouth teams playing across all divisions.

The first match of the season is tomorrow evening, the division 2 Falmouth derby: Fal2 vs Fal3.


More Upcoming Events on Court

23rd February - 1st March: Falmouth Club Racketball Championships

The FSC Racketball Championships return! This year’s event will feature both singles and doubles competitions, offering something for everyone, from seasoned players to those keen to test themselves in a competitive setting.

7th March: Falmouth Women’s Squash Meet
To celebrate the fantastic growth in women’s participation at the club, we’re hosting a fun and competitive women’s squash event. Open to players of all levels, this will be a great opportunity to enjoy some matches, meet other players, and be part of a brilliant atmosphere.

Ongoing Club Activities

Don’t forget – Squash & Racketball Club Night runs all year round, every Friday from 5pm. It’s a great way to meet other players, get on court, and enjoy some friendly games. The monthly box leagues are also ongoing – if you’d like to get involved, just email leagues@falmouthsportsclub.com.

Junior group coaching takes place on Saturday mornings during school the term, and private 1-to-1 or group coaching is available by arrangement. Speak to one of the club coaches or ask at the bar for more details.

Ladies night takes place every Sunday at 6pm. This coach led session just for women is a fun and relaxed session to play some squash, improve your skills, and have fun.

It’s fantastic to see such a vibrant squash and racketball community here in Falmouth, long may it continue!
