On Sunday the 8th of June, between 4 and 8pm, the squash courts were used by a member possibly with a guest. At
8pm that evening, a committee member was made aware that there was damage to the floor on court 1 due to possibly wrong footwear being used. The next day it took 2 hours to attempt to clean the marks off, but still not fully cleaned.
Please only wear squash shoes when you are playing squash. Don't use your outside shoes to play or walk to the court in your squash shoes. It recently took a lot of money to refurbish the squash courts. We need to maintain them in the good condition that they are in for all members to enjoy.
Please also make sure that if you, or the person you are playing with haven't played squash for a while, please make sure your racket handles are not old and perished as bits will fall off onto the court and then get trodden in by their feet. This also marks the courts.
Please remember to look after the facilities that you are paying for. If you are not sure please ask the staff at the bar.
