Invitation to Members’ Engagement Event – Padel Court Proposals - Thursday 18th December 7pm

We are writing to update you on an exciting proposal currently being explored: the potential installation of two outdoor padel courts at Falmouth Sports Club.

As many of you will know, padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and clubs everywhere are discovering how it brings new energy, new members, and a vibrant social atmosphere. Padel blends elements of tennis and squash, its easy to learn, quick to pick up, and instantly enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities. The Committee has reviewed an initial feasibility study, including site layout options and a professional noise assessment, and has agreed that the next step is to seek your views.

Members’ Engagement Event – Thursday 18th December 7pm.

We would like to invite all members to a engagement session at the Club on Thursday 18th December at 7pm, where we will share the plans, answer questions, and gather your feedback. The bar will be open and there will even be mince pies!

We want to emphasise that no final decisions have been made. If planning permission is granted and funding secured then a formal EGM will be called to ask you: the membership for your approval.

Presentation boards summarising the proposals will also be displayed in the Club from tomorrow for anyone who wishes to view the information in their own time.
